  Credit Donation Machines in Assembly Halls

  i just received an email from the ex-jw meetup group coordinator in phoenix.

  she stated that the jws are putting credit donation machines at the assembly halls.

  is this true?

  Nah, I just don't believe this ATM, credit card donation arrangement at assembly halls. This must be some kind of joke, right?? Truly, this can't be serious. This just doesn't seem kingdom hall/assembly hall like, is it?

  Believe it. Our CA hall about a year ago started with the handheld cordless debit/credit card contraptions in order to take R & F donations. No Joke! I was shocked at how bold and brassy they had set up the card tables in the lobby alongside the usual cardboard collection boxes. No doubt Jesus would feel out of place. Can you imagine Jesus visiting a local Circuil Assembly Hall and feeling the need to pay his dues he says to you "Show me a denarius your Visa.........." (Luke 20:24) How much liberty do you think Jesus would take with your debit/credit card in order to donate to his 'earthly organization'? The thought makes me laugh!

  All I can say at present is .......Damn this organization!

  I tip my hat off to the 'Brother' and his wife who were the targets of this abuse. The Society will pay dearly for the pain they have inflicted on this 'Brother' and others like him.

  I think I would like to meet this 'Brother' one day face to face. Until then, as I said earlier "keep diggin............................".

  Draw away disciples…now how many here on JWN have or want to start their own religion?I was told that Ray Franz had done that and never saw any evidence.

  What is an apostate…was Jeremiah considered an apostate in his religious group?Is speaking out against the lies and hypocrisy of the WT organization then apostasy…then Jeremiah was an apostate.

  As others have commented, the WTBTS in past issues of the magazines has trashed other religions for doing this and now the WTBTS is officially fleecing the flock with these terminals.

  If this isn't hypocrisy, what is?

  There is no difference between passing the plate as other faiths do and the JWs' bullying their Rank and File into stopping by the debit/credit terminals before leaving the premises.

  i had to be appointed an elder before 30. already, peers were starting to be appointed.

  i had to make it.

  today i uploaded a new article to my blog addressing a discrepancy between what watchtower tells potential converts prior to baptism compared with what watchtower tells converts after baptism.

  in each case watchtower tells the individual something in straightforward terms.
